Your hair is washed, conditioned, then wrapped onto rollers and dried under a hooded dryer, which is where the shape and the volume are actually created. The round brush and the dryer come last and only smooth what the set already built. That sequence is the entire difference between hair that has movement at the root and hair that has been ironed into submission and falls limp by lunchtime.
The finish is smooth, full and bouncy, with body that holds through a work week. It works on natural, relaxed, transitioning and curly hair, though how far your texture smooths out depends on your curl pattern and how much heat we are willing to use on it. We would rather send you out with hair that is ninety percent smooth and intact than one hundred percent smooth and fried. If your hair is fragile right now, say so and we will adjust the heat down.

It works across natural, relaxed, transitioning and looser curly hair. What changes is how straight the result gets and how much heat it takes to get there. Tighter curl patterns will read smooth and full rather than bone straight, and we will not chase bone straight at the cost of your hair.
Can I wash it or work out afterward?
Water reverts it, so a full wash ends the style. For the gym, put it up loosely before you start and dry your scalp out afterward instead of letting sweat sit. If you know a hard workout is coming, schedule the blowout for after it rather than the day before.
